Town Square Development moves on apace!

For those unable to view it - well, things are really moving on apace!

A Town Hall 'senior spokesman' told me last night (26/11/2009) that it looks likely to be a Christmas inaguration - BUT - we shall see!

The Calles 'off the square' are now being planted with trees - no sign of lighting as yet - mañana no doubt!!

Slabbing nearing completion ( ~ 90%).

Two main flower / shrub beds formed - irrigation tubing laid - and now top-soiled - The sloping bed along Calle La Marquesa still to be completed.

Kiosk built - now outside of Lio Disco bar - not as seen on original 'artists impression' but ready to be unveiled.

Charlys to be re-opened on Monday, November 13th.

NOT SURE IF THE BAR'S TABLES / CHAIRS / PARASOLS WILL BE ALLOWED / LICENCED UNTIL AFTER THE INAUGURATION / BLESSING

The Public Telephone re-sited across road from its previous position - now outside of Church courtyard.

The statue of Jesus (Sagrado Corazón de Jesús) that stood in the centre of the square was removed to the Church courtyard for the duration of the re-development. It has now returned and - it is now positioned - as planned - on the Plaza corner by the Centro bar.
